Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 23, 2026
Expert Classroom is a program and website operated by Texas Real Estate Academy, LLC (“TREA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This notice explains how we handle personal information when you visit expertclassroom.live, use an account, arrange or register for a class, or communicate with us.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we collect:
- Contact and account information: names, email addresses, phone numbers, account credentials, professional license information, and information you submit through forms or support requests.
- Class and professional information: registrations, instructor and business affiliations, class locations, attendance, course completion and CE reporting records. Instructor profiles may also include a biography, photograph, teaching subjects and service areas.
- Agreement and payment records: accepted agreement text and versions, typed signatures, consent, timestamps and IP addresses; transaction amounts, payment status, processor identifiers, sponsorships, refunds and disputes.
- Technical information: enabled sign-in, security, analytics or embedded services may collect IP addresses, browser and device information, cookies and similar identifiers, page activity or security logs to operate, understand and protect the website.
- Images or recordings: photographs, video or audio when collected under the permission applicable to the class or activity.
We receive information from you, from instructors and authorized class administrators, and from service providers involved in registration, payment, attendance or CE administration.
How we use information
We use this information to operate accounts and class pages; prepare and administer classes; manage registrations, sponsorships and payments; confirm attendance and submit eligible CE records; maintain agreements and accounting records; provide support; deliver authorized communications and follow-up; and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.
Instructor profile information approved for public listing and public class information may appear in directories, class pages and advertising. Private account records and learner rosters are not public directory listings.
Who receives information
We disclose information relevant to these purposes to:
- TREA personnel and service providers that operate hosting, security, forms, communications, payment processing, backups and other necessary website functions.
- The instructor and authorized assistants, sponsors, venue representatives or other event partners, within the access authorized for the class and the uses disclosed during registration, including class administration and permitted follow-up.
- The Texas Real Estate Commission and other authorized recipients for CE reporting, licensing inquiries or required recordkeeping.
- Payment processors, financial institutions and professional advisers when needed to process or reconcile payments, refunds, disputes or legal obligations.
- A person you authorize, or a lawful requesting authority when disclosure is required or necessary to protect legal rights or investigate misuse.
We do not sell your personal information or share it with unrelated parties. Class-related disclosure and follow-up do not give a recipient permission to sell your information or use it beyond the permission and legal requirements that apply.
Payments and outside services
Stripe processes official online payments. The instructor is the seller for the instructor’s classes. Stripe collects payment details and, for connected instructors, banking, tax and identity information through its own services. TREA receives the transaction and limited account information needed to operate the connection and reconcile records. Stripe’s handling of information is described in its Privacy Policy.
Third-party pages, embedded services and links may have their own privacy practices. This notice does not replace those providers’ notices.
Cookies and website technology
Cookies and similar technology support functions such as sign-in, preferences and security. Third-party content, security tools or analytics, when enabled, may receive technical information from your browser. Browser settings can limit cookies, although blocking necessary cookies may prevent account functions from working. Any consent required for optional tracking is separate from acceptance of general website terms.
Communications and photographs
We use the communication permissions and preferences applicable to your account, registration or request. Where messages provide an unsubscribe or opt-out method, you may use it or contact us for assistance. Promotional-message consent is obtained where required; visiting the website alone does not authorize promotional texts.
Unsubscribing from promotional email does not delete your account, agreement, payment, attendance or CE records. Necessary service communications may continue as permitted by law and your applicable preferences.
Any permission to use your likeness or voice is the permission you expressly accepted for that registration or activity. This notice does not create additional photography or recording permission.
Retention and protection
We retain information for the period reasonably needed to operate the service, administer classes, meet recordkeeping obligations, document accepted agreements, reconcile payments and resolve disputes. A deletion request or unsubscribe does not require deletion of records that must be retained for these purposes or under applicable law.
We use administrative, technical and access safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website or transmission method can guarantee complete security. TREA and its providers may process information in the United States or other countries where their services operate; applicable protections and legal requirements still apply.
Your requests and choices
You may contact us to ask about your information, request access or correction, request a copy or deletion, or change communication preferences. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict processing or opt out of a sale, targeted advertising or certain profiling. We do not sell personal information; an opt-out request does not require you to accept a new use of it.
Send a request using the contact details below and identify the account or class involved. We may request information reasonably needed to verify your identity or authority. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any lawful reason a request cannot be fully completed. You may appeal a refusal through the same contact methods, marked “Privacy request appeal.” You may also contact the Texas Attorney General. We do not penalize you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Children and changes
The service is intended for adult professional education and is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information.
We will identify updates with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated as required by law, and we will obtain new consent when required. A policy update does not retroactively authorize an incompatible use of information collected under an earlier promise.
